Bing AI Search Performance Data Extractor (the “Extension”) helps users export grounding-query and cited-page mapping data from the Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance report.
Data we collect
- Bing Webmaster Tools data: Grounding queries, page URLs, citation counts, citation share, intent, topic, and related AI Performance metrics.
- Authentication tokens: The Extension temporarily captures the Bing Webmaster Tools CSRF token and session cookie required to make API requests on your behalf. These values remain in Chrome’s local extension storage and are never transmitted to our servers.
- Export results: Queries, URLs, citation metrics, intent, and topic are sent to our backend and stored to maintain an export record.
Your Bing password, login credentials, and session cookies are never sent to our servers. Bing API requests are made directly from your browser.
How we use data
- To generate CSV exports of grounding-query and cited-page mappings.
- To store a server-side record of completed exports.
- To diagnose export reliability and compatibility issues.
Storage and security
- Authentication tokens and site preferences are stored locally using the Chrome Storage API.
- Export results are stored in MongoDB through a Vercel-hosted backend.
- Reading or deleting stored export records requires server-side administrator authentication.
Data sharing
We do not sell export data. Data is processed only by the infrastructure providers required to operate the Extension and its storage service.
Retention and deletion
Export data is retained until it is deleted by the service operator. You may request deletion using the publisher support contact on the Chrome Web Store listing.
Your choices
- Uninstall the Extension to stop future collection.
- Clear locally stored data through Chrome’s extension settings.
- Request deletion of server-stored export records.
Permissions
- storage: Saves preferences, the detected site, and temporary authentication state locally.
- webRequest: Reads the authentication headers used by Bing Webmaster Tools without modifying requests.
- bing.com host access: Detects the AI Performance page and makes user-authorized Bing Webmaster Tools API requests.
Contact
For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the extension publisher through the support contact shown on the Chrome Web Store page.
